Caroline Glacken

“Like having my own employment GC at the end of the phone." — HR director of national recruitment client

Caroline Glacken qualified in 2012 and joined Constantine Law in January 2016 having previously worked in the London office of a large national law firm.

Caroline is an experienced employment lawyer and a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. Caroline is adept at providing legal support to HR teams, including support through complex internal investigations and processes and preparing contractual documentation and handbooks. Caroline has significant experience in Employment Tribunal litigation including unfair dismissal and complex discrimination proceedings as well as High Court Litigation in relation to injunctive relief and business protection.

Caroline is also experienced in providing integrated business immigration solutions to corporate clients who want to sponsor their workers or require business visitor visas. Caroline is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioner's Association and works closely with immigration barristers to achieve great results for clients.

Caroline is an active member of Irish business networks in London; the Irish International Business Network (IIBN) and The London Irish Construction Network (TLICN). Caroline also works closely with the London Irish Centre.

Caroline always provides us with sound advice for our businesses. She understands the need for urgency where necessary & also takes into account the commercial reality of situations when providing us with advice.

We have worked closely with Caroline for a number of years and are extremely grateful to work with someone with such passion, dedication and professionalism. Caroline is approachable and truly understands the needs of her clients. The advice and support she provides is outstanding and working with her is an absolute pleasure.

Caroline has run a number of High Court cases for our Group and obtained injunctions to protect our business. I would highly recommend Caroline as a litigator – she is responsive, clear and gets results.

Caroline has been absolutely amazing from start to finish. She guided me through the legal process, scheduled calls to make sure I understood my options and to go through any legal correspondence point by point.

While she was convinced of the strength of my case and supported me throughout, she made sure I was aware of how the respondent might try to pick apart my claim of unfair dismissal - she was clear, honest and never gave me unrealistic expectations. In the end, thanks to her work over many months, my employer agreed to settle.

As my legal fees were covered by an insurance company, Caroline had to jump through many hoops, prompt my insurer on many occasions and deal with mounds of extra paperwork.

Caroline is everything a solicitor should be: supportive, efficient, extremely knowledgeable and competent, a great communicator and strategist. I will be eternally grateful for her advice and help. Without her I never would have been able to navigate the legal system, been able to handle the stress of fighting for my rights or even been fully aware of my rights as an employee faced with redundancy without consultation while on maternity leave.

Caroline is doing a fantastic job for us, and we are all very appreciative.  Our HR team have seen Caroline as a real benefit to their development.
