Alan Lewis quoted in People Management on employee's right to be accompanied at disciplinary meeting

Alan Lewis is quoted in People Management discussing a case where a union representative was excluded from a disciplinary hearing and the tribunal deemed this an infringement of the employee’s statutory right to be accompanied at such a meeting. Alan warns that employers will not be acting legally by excluding reps from disciplinary or grievance meetings, save in extremely rare circumstances.
