Client: A leading Italian food and wine supplier
Constantine Law regularly acts for employers in the High Court to safeguard their business interests, particularly when current or former employees breach their contractual and/equitable duties or post-termination restrictions.
We represent a specialist Italian food importer and distributor in a high-stakes legal battle against a former employee who, along with his son, set up a directly competing business during his employment.
Our team secured a comprehensive, non-dealing injunction against the former employee and his new business.
We presented evidence to the High Court, which lead to the former employee accepting our application rather than defend it. Our team were able to negotiate a swift and very favourable settlement which meant that our client avoided the cost and management time to prepare for a speedy trial.
This case was led by John Hayes, Zahra Mahmood and Ben Payne.
