Constantine Law partner, Catherine Wilson, gives her thoughts in The Yorkshire Post on how the ERB must balance the needs of employees against those of employers for their mutual benefit. Catherine shares her concerns that the government's perception of employers seems rooted in the "employees good, employers bad" tropes of her 1970s childhood.
Whilst agreeing that some level of regulation is essential, Catherine is concerned that "over regulation will drive out private sector jobs in this country", not to mention the costs of implementation which will run into billions.
Discouraging employers is ultimately a disaster not only for the economy, but "crucially the people who work within it".
Read Catherine's three key areas of concern in her full piece here.
